I ran across a book in a used bookstore yesterday, Magic in the Roman World: Pagans, Jews and Christians, by Naomi Janowitz, and was curious if our host or anyone else has read it and had thoughts. I've been looking for texts on ancient Greek magical practice, which this is not, but thought it was interesting close.
