You have sometimes advised that people with mental illness severe enough to be prescribed antidepressants etc. shouldn't study ceremonial magic. Is this because of the risks presented by the features of such illnesses themselves, concerns about the interactions between the effects of magical energies on the body and the effects of medications or other issues?
If a practising magician fell so ill as to require such medication, would you recommend they modify their practices?
I realise this is dicey territory, so I emphasise that I am not requesting advice about the use or prescription of any medication, just about what you think a magician could or should do in the situation I've described.
