Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 99

Great ResistAs we proceed through the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselessness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

re twitter, it seems that if you don't have account then you cant browse anumore.
I found this about it, though I do not know if it is accurate:

'Twitter Has Completely Disabled Public Profiles . .

I've tested this and it is in fact the case - you now have to be logged in to Twitter to see users's tweets. In going through some of the discussion about this posted on various Twitter accounts it appears Elon Musk did this in response to (i.e. to stop) Microsoft's data mining of Twitter using AI . . . SC

JUST IN - Twitter has completely disabled public profiles. To see tweets, you now have to log in to the platform.

That is all I have been able to find out.
I will not be making an account, either way.

I noticed that today, trying to click through some links. But I wasn't bothered enough to get an account again :)

I'm relieved. Twitter is a thing I needn't look at anymore.

That's one of the several reasons I gave up on logging into social media years ago-- it was such a bore when FB kept moving the goal posts around, I just walked away from that. And then Twitter, too.

When I couldn't watch the latest Tucker Carlson episode because now Twitter makes you log in, nah, I just went over to rumble where someone had scraped it.

Yeah, I won't be joining either.

Musk wants a lot of personal info. . .

I heard a theory about this, it goes something like:

- Musk stopped paying Google for some kind of interaction between Twitter and Google about data storage - negotiations over price broke down or whatever
- Google responded by stopping providing whatever the service/functionality was, and this in turn reduced broader access to Twitter
- Not wanting to appear like he's made a bad decision, or can't pay, Musk covers the situation with a snow job holding pattern announcement about how he's orchestrated the loss of access as part of some techno-threat-thingy that nobody understands - or at least I don't, but then I am a luddite :)
- In the meantime, Musk will try to renegotiate the price, or find some other workaround, at which point he will announce to much fanfare that he has "listened to the people" and is reversing his business decision about whatever the AI thingy is and how it's not such a big deal anyway and how important free speech is etc.

Or perhaps it's all just part of the internet dying as Erica seems to be suggesting? A strategy to tamp down the spread of inconvenient truths about various ramping disasters that are plaguing the 'collective west' at this point in time? I find that easy to believe given all the self-inflicted disasters in Europe etc.

Or maybe it is this 'AI data mining thingy' which means that for some reason Musk needs to shut off access as you have said? Why does it matter if the data gets mined? I don't know. Perhaps Musk is protecting Twitter's IP? "Everything posted in Twitter is MINE, MINE I tells ya! Mwah, ha, ha!"

Or maybe Musk is just trying to force people to sign up to Twitter?

All of the above and more besides? Who knows?

It's getting hard to see the nose in front of my face in this digital blizzard. But, even in a snowstorm I know where to start looking for TPTB and their cronies. All I have to do is head downhill, because they're always on the low road.
