She's got a welcome surprise waiting for her once she's on the other side. Part of the process of the afterlife is seeing the entire life unfolding in detail, in complete objective accuracy. That's a miserable experience to those who have overinflated egos, as they get to see exactly how badly they behaved and so on -- but those with very negative self-images get to find out how inaccurate those images are. That's why so many religions tell you to dwell on your sins while getting ready for death -- partly it helps you process some of your life in advance, but partly it makes for an easier experience when you get to the other side and get to see your life from a less biased standpoint.
