To return to a much-discussed topic of yore: using sharp iron objects such as knives or needles for etheric protection. I have a silver jewelry pin, the sort of thing to wear on a jacket lapel. Would this serve?
And a related question: this pin has a needle that folds over and a little roundy thing to hold it in place. Therefore, when in place on the jacket lapel, the tip of the sharp needle is enclosed. Does this matter?
PS You might be amused to know, if you do not already, that in the book The Aran Islands, John Synge reports that according to the local storyteller, a needle hidden in a shirt collar is the trick to protect oneself against the good people.
