Kyrrmis, like all the critters in my tentacle stories, aren't original creations of mine -- they come from the weird tales of H.P. Lovecraft and his friends. The original of Amber the kyrrmi and her kin is Brown Jenkin, the creepy ratlike familiar of the witch Keziah Mason in Lovecraft's story The Dreams in the Witch House. As for Booba, he doesn't look much like what I imagined -- kyrrmis look like large rats with monkeylike faces and paws that look like little human hands; I modeled them to a great extent on prosimians like this one:



But Booba sounds like a lot of fun, whatever he is.
