Looks like the bloom’s off Alberta’s ‘wild rose’. Smith had better back up her words with credible actions pretty soon, or she’s toast. The kind of people who voted for her in droves expect her to behave with the same integrity that they live by (tall order for a politician, I know…). It’s one thing to refuse to toe the federal government’s lines regarding making every civilian-owned long gun in the country illegal and permitting cadres of environmental enforcers doing God-knows-what on privately owned farmland and rural ditches; and quite another to address what she proclaimed to be the worst form of discrimination in her lifetime (that is, discrimination against the unfoxed).

Personally, I respect Chris Sky’s fearlessness in ‘calling them like he sees them’, but I’ve always got a weird vibe from the guy and usually take whatever he says with a grain of salt until/unless I get independent confirmation of his claims. But the stuff he says about Smith I can take 'unsalted'.
