Hi, JMG. I am just starting to get into this course (but made sure that I read the intro lesson before Mercury went retrograde on Dec 28) and am delighted with what I am reading. For a very long time I have tried to get into some form of spiritual healing: first, more than 15 years ago via pranic healing with friends in India – but the timing just didn’t work out; then, about 8 years ago I wanted to learn Reiki, but it has fallen out of fashion in my neck of the woods and I eventually gave up after a long search. And now the Modern Order of Essenes healing has fallen into my lap without even looking! Looks like the star are aligning.
It just so happens that I have a bit of a ‘head start’ on the reflexology part, as my wife is a licenced reflexologist and she taught me quite a lot (which I practice from time to time). She is infinitely more talented and sensitive than I; then again, she comes from a culture where massaging one’s elders is the norm and started massaging from an early age, while I developed ‘wooden hands’ in my youth by wielding axes, hammers and ropes in much of my free time. I hope that I will able to do more good than damage with these hands!
Anyway, I’ve got a lot of catching up to do (including reading the comments after each lesson) and will likely not be asking any questions for quite a while, but rest assured that I am lurking in the back of the classroom.
