I can attest to this. I am a volunteer emt/firefighter in rural Vermont and I work as a mental health counselor. Both of these endeavors have gotten very busy for me since the lockdowns. There seems to be more untimely death and calls for health issues like shortness of breath and chest pains coming from younger (middle aged) people. The actual pandemic was quiet. Despite being told we would be working full time in the ER and hauling bodies I didn’t go to a single COVID call. When the jabs rolled out however, that is when I saw a marked uptick.
