Picture this and I hope this makes some sense. Your dedicated space is located in the attic. Now picture your house suddenly becoming invisible. You would be suspended several stories in the air (visually speaking) with no contact with the earth.
Symbolism is important and the appearance/location of your surroundings is too because one ties into the other. Every time I walk into the local Walmart which recently installed some sort of transparent linoleum, part of my brain screams "It's ice. You'll slip!!", a matter of concern as I'm pushing 70. My legs stiffen up in anticipation of a pratfall. It does no good to reason with it. Part of my brain insists it's all a slipping hazard.
There's probably an energy factor as well which I'm not knowledgeable enough to comment about and no doubt our host would recommend it all as a topic of meditation.
