The Arrernte people believe that every person has two souls: the first, a mortal soul, appears with the fetus, as a result of sexual intercourse between parents; the second soul, a piece of the "life" of the ancestor, is received by a pregnant woman.

It is the second, immortal soul that gives the individual physical characteristics and creates his entire personality. Thus, it can be said that each new conception, as it were, repeats the primitive activity of the ancestors: at first they found an amorphous pre-human mass, which they transformed into real people; after the “departure” of the ancestors, particles of their “life” (immortal souls) penetrate into the embryo (which the mortal soul revives) and create a full-fledged person.

This soul that is transmitted through sex, can be easily equivalated as being Kundalini in a an esoteric system that we are familiar to. Now we may argue that an early abortion is a sin against Kundalini and a later abortion against both souls.


Does the dable of the magical resistance into abortion rituals, using demonic sigils etc have roots into Satanism or other esoteric pedigree?
