No doubt. I have some weird tactile issues-- they were more pronounced when I was younger, and being accidentally touched really wigged me out, so when I went off to college and no longer lived with my family, I essentially avoided physical contact with other people for like two years. It was really, really, really not healthy. I don't want to oversimplify, because there was a lot of other stuff going on at that time-- major stress, thyroid issues, vegetarianism (not the healthy, balanced kind), hormone disruptions-- but those were two years of steadily declining mental and physical health, and I firmly believe the lack of touch was a big contributor to the downhill slide on everything else.
Like, there are definitely hermits who manage OK in these conditions, but not without basically living *in* nature. So I'd guess there's some kind of... etheric nutrition? component to it. If you're mostly living indoors, and also not touching anybody ever, there's gotta be some kind of energetic malnutrition going on.
Might go a long way toward explaining the worldwide crazy that started with the lockdowns. Heck, even the riots-- were people just starved for contact and looking to join the first crowd that happened along at that point?
