Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 56

if onlyAs we move further into the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselesness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Your assessment is true, most definitely, of the celebrity class, but they are not the ones who'd have access to this data. Nor, for that matter, am I convinced that they'd be screaming for blood if the die off rate is, for example, only 5%; but even a 5% death rate would be more than enough to cripple most advanced economies, render every medical system inoperable for months, and send most nations in the West into utter chaos. It wouldn't be a Black Death level die off, but it would still be quite substantial, especially if, as seems likely, it was only an opening salvo.

Right now though, the knowledge of what's happening should be limited to the inner circles of public health bureaucracies, who cannot exactly call for (other) heads to roll anyway, and which currently appear to be in panic mode. In fact, one complicating issue I see is that it's entirely possible that even most of (ex:) the CDC doesn't yet know what's happening with the vaccines. It's going to be a closely guarded secret, unless and until it reaches the point where the people doing the data crunching decide they have nothing left to lose; and I'm willing to bet lots of pressure is being brought on them to keep quiet, even without factoring in the fact that most of the media is still committed to the narrative and won't spread the news just yet.

It's also entirely possible that the CDC, Health Canada, NHS, et al. are withholding some or all of the key information from the rest of the political system as long as they think they can get away with, precisely because they assume that once it breaks into the general knowledge among the elites that there will be the kind of mass panic and rage you're mentioning here.

Depends on which 5%.

If it's concentrated among the elderly-- say, people who might have lived to 80 dying at 73 instead-- it might not make much of a difference generally, and might even be a slight positive in strictly economic terms, as it would result in a lot of end-of-life-care resources being freed up, inheritances changing hands, that sort of thing.

I'm not cheering for it, simply pointing out that the impact of any number of deaths is going to depend a lot on who's dying. If it's everybody who took the shots, in the next five years, that's catastrophic, with perhaps entire fields of expertise all but wiped out, supply chains broken and dangling everywhere, governments disintegrating, etc.

If we're instead looking at a scenario where it kills a smattering of people with certain vulnerabilities right away, and maybe shaves 5-10 years off the normal lifespan for everybody else (say, brings average life expectancy from 78 down to 68)... it could be a lot less dramatic than that.

Those are, of course, not the only scenarios. I'm actually more afraid of a "significant proportion become disabled" scenario than a "most of them die" picture. Because you'd end up in the same place (most die), but a lot uglier.

Interesting point.

In my circles, I'm not seeing any young people dropping dead (thankfully!), at least not so far.

What I am seeing, though, is an awful lot of older and mildly sick people dying suddenly and unexpectedly. A retired 70-year-old with a few age-related health problems who I expected would be around for another 5-10 years had a stroke and died a few months later. I can think of at least 4 overweight, middle-aged people who had some health problems, but who didn't seem all that sick, who have just dropped dead unexpectedly in the last year and a half. They weren't in top health, but they weren't that sick either, and I would have expected them, too, to be around for another 10 years or so. I feel like I'm hearing an awful lot of "did you hear so-and-so died?", where so-and-so is in the same category as described above - oldish or middle-age and suffering from a comorbidity or two, but previously active in the community, health issues under control, and expected to be around for a while longer. But poof, they're gone. It's always a stroke or a heart attack, and it's always sudden.
