Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 5

troubledThe semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a huge number of comments, so I'm opening another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Just felt compelled to mention the death rate for COVID itself according to this site is 1.4% (acknowledging estimates vary.) Which would mean the vaccine is WORSE than the virus. Just saying. And it seems like that’s WITHOUT the ADE and TIA, etc. Just deaths from the vaccine.

But realistically the payout plus cost to administer the program will be much more than 10,000 dollars. So it's hard to tell just yet.

That's the case fatality rate for COVID - deaths divided by the number of known cases. The actual infection fatality rate is down around 0.5% or lower, since many infections are asymptomatic or just not officially confirmed if folks don't get tested.

But whatever the COVID death rate actually is, it's still far higher than even the highest estimates of vaccine deaths to date. If the actual number of vaccine deaths in the US is in the range of 50,000, that's still only 0.03% of the ~150 million people vaccinated.

Assuming $10,000 payout per person, $75 million would cover death expenses for 7500 people, which is actually a reasonable estimate given US VAERS numbers and is nowhere near 2% of the Canadian population (which would be 750,000 people).

$75mn is peanuts

I used to work for a forensic economist in the late 1990s. $10,000 doesn't even come close to compensating a family for the death of a member--think about it this way; that person would have earned, on average, almost 5 times that in a single year.

The average award in court for a wrongful death of a laborer in the prime of life (30s or 40s) was close to a million dollars. It would be significantly more now.

Even in Canada, which may not use quite the same system of compensation as the US, $75 million is nothing. I'm pretty sure they're expecting very, very few people to successfully prove a death or injury was vaccine related.

The program says it's only for burial costs though...

Oh, you’re right. It’s not compensation for wrongful death at all, just burial expenses. The quotes in the story are strangely blasé, “it’s a drug and there are always risks, it’s not our fault.”

Very disturbing.

Also the way we hear medics swipe away from the start the idea that some of the obvious cases are generated by the virus I think effects of the vaccine are seriously underreported.

Where are you getting these numbers? The above commenter randomly speculated that 2% might be *affected*, not killed (a $10,000 payout for a death would be ridiculously small). Dr. Google tells me that 177 million Americans are "fully vaccinated." If 2% of them died as a result - not just of other things that people die of all the time - that would be an *excess* 3.5 million deaths. Where are the trenches being dug in the parks to hold all the bodies?
