If someone you knew were to have sold their soul, what would it look like? I ask because my mom has been involved in hard core TDS, and now pushes the Covid narrative on me really, really hard; she is absolutely adamant that I need a vaccine now, but that it is also entirely my choice, and has pushed this really, really hard.
I've also found that for years she would disrupt my spiritual practices, even if she had no way of knowing I was doing them; that she's somehow able to push all of my buttons, including saying things which seem cleverly designed to push my buttons, but only if she knew things she had no way of knowing; and has aggressively pushed against any effort I made to walk away from my miserable middle class life. I'd attributed it to the devouring mother archetype and a terror at the end of the myth of progress; but now I'm not sure.
As far as I know, she never did any of the rituals contained in the Magic Resistance; but if I had ever found out she was, my response would have been to walk to my landlord's office, break my lease then and there, call a friend in another city and get a place to crash while I sorted out a job there. (I'd also take nothing but the clothes on my back, and first chance I got get new ones and dispose of the old ones; I would take no chances here)
So, if she is under demonic influence, they'd want to keep it secret from me, because otherwise I'd bolt, and they'd lose their best link to me; so it's entirely possible she was involved; it's also possible that they found other uses for her that didn't involve magic.
The thing which disturbs me though is that I can date a precise day, back in June of 2015 when my mother suddenly acquired a very bad case of TDS, and seemingly acquired a new personality. I dismissed it as my imagination (I was a materialist atheist at the time), but in light of this, I can't help but wonder now if she sold her soul, and that change in personality was the demon moving in...
(If this is the case, it suggests the start of the process was back in 2015, which I think fits; TDS was well established by the time the election happened)
