Magic Monday

creation of the worldIt's getting on for midnight, so we can proceed with a new Magic Monday. Ask me anything about occultism and I'll do my best to answer it. Any question received by midnight Monday Eastern time will get an answer. (Any question received after then will not get an answer, and will likely just be deleted.) If you're in a hurry, or suspect you may be the 143,916th person to ask a question, please check out the very rough version 1.0 of The Magic Monday FAQ here.

I've had several people ask about tipping me for answers here, and though I certainly don't require that I won't turn it down. You can use the button above to access my online tip jar. If you're interested in political and economic astrology, or simply prefer to use a subscription service to support your favorite authors, you can find my Patreon page here and my SubscribeStar page here.

Bookshop logoI've also had quite a few people over the years ask me where they should buy my books, and here's the answer. Bookshop.org is an alternative online bookstore that supports local bookstores and authors, which a certain other gargantuan corporation doesn't, and I now have a shop there, which you can check out here. Please consider patronizing it if you'd like to purchase any of my books online.

And don't forget to look up your Pangalactic New Age Soul Signature at CosmicOom.com.

With that said, have at it!

Prayers for Kiki

[personal profile] kimberlysteele 2021-05-03 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Hi JMG and Ecosophians,

Please pray for my cat Kiki, she is going through a bout of constipation again. I am doing all the physical plane things for her: getting her to play, feeding her raw meat, two kinds of anti-constipation meds, massage, etc. I need help on the higher planes. Thank you in advance!

Happy to pray for your cat. Hope she feels better soon.

As in wrote that a thought came to me - while I don’t have cats now, when I did, they were quite fond of occasionally eating grass, and my understanding was that this was to aid their digestion. I don’t know if Kiki is indoor only, but if you could bring in a little pot of grass for her in that case, she might like it. Speak to your vet / divine first, but since the thought sparked to mind immediately as I recorded my intent to pray for you, I wanted to also share this.

I have seen that adding a bit, 1/2 teaspoon size, of pumpkin to a cat's food helps with constipation. Naturally this works best with wet food. Once your cat is better, you might try that as a preventive. Sending best wishes for healing to Kiki.

I've had two cats with constipation. Pumpkin helped, and one of them liked it so much she would eat it plain, but the more effective treatment was unflavored psyllium (Metamucil) sprinkled over food.

I'll light a candle to Bast right now for Kiki. Poor kitty!

Thank you for your prayers... they worked! She is already pooping again! She had a decent size poo last night and is starting to clear the constipation.

I do feed her pumpkin and I used to actually sprout & grow wheat grass for her, and in the process learned how to make rejuvelac -- I will buy some more fully grown grass for her as well as some seed for sprouting, that's great advice.

My most heartfelt thanks.

Oh, blessed be! Donation to a local cat charity going out in today's mail, after my (very feline) cat-nap.

Very good to hear that Kiki is less sick now. Her constipation will not be coming back, but she still has a deficiency. She needs some raw fish, only about two ounces, and only one time. Doesn't matter what kind of fish, as long as it's raw. She won't get sick again without it, but she will be healthier with it.

Poor Kiki! That's a miserable thing to go through. Prayers are on the way!
