1) So could this be a way to maintain a stable (not saying healthy) etheric body? Leaning on a tree while sitting in the sunlight and playing a lively tune...

2) What about metal wind instruments like a trumpet or a tin whistle?

1) That would certainly strengthen and energize your etheric body.

2) The effects would be different, since metals are specificated -- a technical term that means they relate very strongly to some energies and not to others. You'd definitely get benefits but they would vary depending on the metal of which the instrument is made.

What about a ceramic instrument? I just found a really nice ceramic ocarina, and am wondering about what to expect when I pick it up to play.

I've never played one so have no idea. By all means experiment and see.

What, no string players? I began as a clarinet player in HS because our small town didn't have an orchestra and then switched over to violin as an adult. I don't know about the etheric aspects, but I think an hour of practice increases my level of energy. After I finish with scales and etudes, I usually go to unaccompanied Bach, my favorite. Mozart always gives me ear worms.

Wooden instruments will do that. The violin has seen a lot of use in some branches of European occultism because it's very well suited to energy work.

What branches of European occultism have done work with Violins? Any books and/or names to research?

Quite some years ago I read about, I think, French and German occult lodges that used violin music in their rituals. It was a long time ago and I'm sorry to say I don't remember the source.
